Aircon installation services include installing the more commonly used window-type or split-type air conditioning units in your home. Some technicians may have the expertise to install the wiring, and offer other services, including checking the refrigerant levels, inspecting the coils, coil fins and condensate drains, checking and cleaning the filters and vents of dust and debris.
Installing Window-Type Aircon Units
Technicians that install window-type units can insert the unit into a pre-constructed wall slot. If you don’t have this, you can request for this service as some technicians may offer to install mounts for the aircon unit in one of your windows.
Technicians that specialize in aircon installation usually remove old aircon units from their slot, then place your new window-type aircon unit. They may also test your wiring to ensure there is sufficient amperage to power your new aircon unit.
Installing Split-Type Aircon Units
Technicians can mount your split-type aircon unit on the wall of your choice in a room, install the condenser outside of the room and connect its ducts and wiring. If your walls are concrete, be sure to have a hole made before installation to allow passage of the wires and ducts. In the absence of this, you may be able to request this as part of the installation service as some technicians may be able to perform this part of the installation process.
Aircon Unit Repair & Maintenance
Technicians can perform simple maintenance work on your air conditioning units. They can clear the vents, coils, coil fins, and condensate drains of any accumulated dust and debris. They can also clean the surfaces of the unit as needed.
In terms of repairs, technicians can inspect the unit and find what is causing your air conditioning unit to malfunction or not work at all. Technicians will fix the problem if they can. They may advise you to buy a new unit if the repairs are too complicated and expensive compared to purchasing a new one.
