HANDYMAN to reaffix small awning to frame and wall

    $50

    Randwick NSW 2031, Australia

    14th Jan 2017

HANDYMAN REQUIRED! This small metal aluminum awning outside my back door is generally in good condition but the metal wall bracket has rusted away completely and subsequently caused the awning to come away from the square aluminum supporting frame - see photos please. Firstly the square tubular frame needs to be re-affixed to the wall with a suitable right angle bracket. You will also need a masonry drill to create a new anchor point. Secondly the metal awing needs to be re-attached to the square tube frame with either stainless steel screws or aluminum rivets at probably 2 or 3 points. The awning also initially needs to be pushed back into place as it shouldn't be sticking out of the main wall fixture the way is does though this is just a matter of sliding it back with the gentle help of a piece of timber or a rubber mallet. Note that the job is located over steps and so will require an appropriate ladder and/or supporting leveling tools such as timber planks. One of those multi-fold, multi-purpose ladders might do the trick if its long enough. All depends how you prefer to work in these situations. I installed this awning myself many years ago but too old and unstable to get up there now. So I know its not a difficult job and shouldn't take very long. probably 15-30mins at most. There is no rush to do the job but cost is definitely a consideration. Would rather wait till its convenient for you to do the job perhaps whilst you are doing a job nearby so as to keep cost low.

Installation of bird spikes on awning

    $50

    Randwick NSW 2031, Australia

    21st Nov 2016

install bird spikes on our awning I already installed 80% of the area and it's probably another 4-5m to do. I got the bird spikes and the ladder for you to use. You can use cable ties to keep the spikes in place. Simple job but i'm too busy with other work. Should do it before 2pm. It probably takes 30min to 1 hour to get it done

Think outside the box ! Get the work done quickly , will definitely contact him for more work πŸ‘πŸ‘

    Mount my side awning

    $150

    Randwick NSW 2031, Australia

    13th Feb 2019

Hi, I need someone to dig a hole, cement a piece of timber in, mount my side awning to it and a metal post to a paver. All you need is the tools. There are instructions, bolts etc The ground is a bit rocky so a pick would be wise to bring. I need this done ASAP.

Install Retractable Folding Arm Awning over Window

    $200

    Randwick NSW 2031, Australia

    5th Mar 2016

I am about to purchase a retractable folding arm awning with canvas cover for my 2 metre wide window situated on the first floor of a building. The awning itself is just under 2m wide and weighs 15kg. I require someone to install this awning. Installation requires the following: 1. Fix 2 metal brackets using dynabolts onto masonry wall above window. Each bracket has 2 holes/fixing points. The bricks are solid all the way through so no risk of striking a hollow section. 2. Lift up ladder and mount the 2m wide single piece pre-assembled awning onto the 2 wall brackets above the first floor window and lock into place using a nut and bolt. 3. Adjust angle of folding arms to suitable angle. You will have unobstructed open access to the window. Allow a maximum of 2 hours for this simple job. I would do it myself but not keen on getting up a high ladder. However I don't mind assisting where required. I have been told by the supplier who also undertakes installations (but not in my area) the whole installation should take no longer than 2 hours Timing is flexible some time during March. Pls see photos of 1) subject window showing exact installation location with my Oldfields 5.4m ladder set up fully extended alongside window (available if required). Note the ground slopes up so better reach on left hand side. 2) Specifications of my ladder 3) type of awning though the one in this photo is much larger than mine ! 4) Awning installation diagram for addition information In submitting your offer please advise if you have specific experience with installation of same or similar awnings. The following information is provided by the awning supplier: "Our awnings are pre-assembled and all you need to do is to fix awning brackets to the wall and secure awning to the brackets. Kit comes with all required parts and instruction for installation on the masonry wall" However you may prefer to use your own dynabolts/fixing bolts if you believe these to be better quality than those included in the awning kit. Hence pls advise cost of using your own fixing bolts - 4 in total.
