Thank you both for your replies. Sounds like you both know what you're doing and will get it done. Steve can you send through an offer please. Greg, how would you reinforce it? I'm just thinking it would cost me $160 to buy a brand new one, but if the reinforcement is worthwhile then it might be worth it.
Eric sorry but you will have to pay, because it will be fixed;) my questioning was more about the looks of it in the end not in the repairs, reading over my post i didn't convey that. I'd be taking it away. But I'd pick up and drop off during the week.
plain mild steel, would want to grind back paint first anyways, it is thin, if it broke once it will break again, you must be strong mate lol. Needs reinforcement aswell, I guarantee i can repair stronger than new.

Hi Steve. Yes it can be taken apart with a couple of spanners. I don't mind if the paint burns. It is just for function. Do you have a the equipment? Will you bring it to my apartment? There's a garage you can work in. Or you can take it away to do it if you like. Happy for you to give it a try. I'm at home tomorrow (Sunday) if you want to do it here. If you want to take it away then I guess any day is ok. Just checking what if it doesn't work? I assume I don't pay you?
