Hi, I need drawings of a proposed verandah to submit to surveyor / council for a building permit.

I have good plans drawn by hand by a builder with dimensions etc, for you to work from, but I need this in an acceptable format for a building permit application.

Size is roughly 32 m 2.. I will give exact dimensions before job start.

Per surveyor requirements, I need drawings showing the plan at floor level, elevations, dimensions, sizes etc to a scale of not less than 1:100.

Drawings must meet the requirements of the VBA Practice Note 2014-62 (April 2014) - Documentation Required for Application for Building Permits.

Obviously drawings will be used by builder to construct per the building permit.

Someone with experience in drawings for building permits is preferred, and if you can help with the building permit application, please indicate in your fee quote.

I will supply to you...
- Photos of area where verandah will be constructed (you are welcome to visit site if you prefer)
- Draft hand drawings showing elevation, dimensions etc
- Site plan (if required)
- Any other info that is required.

Hello Lisa
I'm interior architect, I'm sorry I didn't understand what exactly you need, you have got the plan of the site but you need sections drawings and front and side views?
Something similar to this

I think so William yes. A builder drew the plans by hand, but apparently arent quite in the proper format required for a building permit. Also need to specifications of materials (timber), footings (for post) etc. I already have most, if not all, of the materials as I have an existing structure there already in place but need to remove and shorten a little.
Um you need the plan drawing first, is it one ground floor?
