Hi Joe,
Your liquidambar could really do with a proper crown weight reduction and thinning. It's an asset to your property and I feel deserves to be looked after and pruned properly by a skilled arborist in order to get an aesthetically pleasing result. This type of pruning also helps limit potential failures, as this species is particularly prone to mid-branch failures on longer lateral branches with significant weight and sail area (foliage to pick up the wind) on them.
If you're open to this I'll provide an offer in line with that. If you're more inclined to simply uplift and prune off a couple of branches, I can make an offer to do that, but strongly suggest you consider a more thorough going over of the tree that will keep it healthy, viable and enjoyed long into the future.
