I can come to you! I don't know how long it will take, or how much to offer...
I'm an Early Childhood teacher and know how to use computers and iPads, but I would like to become more proficient and efficient. I would like to be able to fix my own technical problems on the go and understand some of the less obvious computer language.
Just to give you an idea of where I'm already at, I have made a few websites with Weebly, created movies with iMovie and have taught young children coding using [Content Moderated] . When there's a technical issue or things aren't working as they should, however, I wouldn't have the first clue as to how to fix it.
It would b amazing if I could find someone who can teach me these at the same time:
-use and create with my Arduino and circuitry components
-use and create music with ableton
-learn to code
If you can't help with everything, this is not a deal-breaker.

Hi Janelle. I can help with most of the things that you are after, but we'd need to have everything wrapped up by 5pm at the latest (I have a Meetup to attend).

I don't have any experience with iPlay and the DAW that I use is FL Studio. Still, I have made projects using Arduino and limited projects also with Raspberry Pi 3B and Beaglebone Black. I also have experience in coding using the Angular framework, Wordpress, Drupal and some C/C++ and Java. I've also dabbled in developing Android Apps.

In addition to this, I have written Alexa apps just to test it out and am familiar with Cloud Computing using AWS; including servless technology.

If you'd like a general overview of all of these things in 1 hour, I'd be happy to show you. I can explain what applications are suited to either Arduino or Raspberry Pi, what you can use AWS for, why Python might be a great language to learn in the current scheme of things (I have to do this too), certain types of electronics components and what they do and basic knowledge of digital audio including tracks, samples, sequencing, effects and so forth.

You can come out to my place if you like. I live in Rockingham, so not sure if that is too far for you. It would be better for you in some way though as I have a lot of electronic parts/gadgets (modules for Arduino/Pi) and my music gear here.

I'm an electrician by trade, but also have a Bachelor of Technology, heaps of IT certificates and a passion for music.

Wow! This is perfect! I'm so excited!
Questions(2)
Hi Janelle! These things are all quite different. But I can teach you how to use Ableton via Skype if you like! I've also got a qualification in IT networking if you'd like to chat about about some tech things. :)
Hi. Sounds great. I will be back in Perth Wednesday week, but we could possibly Skype before then. I am unsure about what I need, so unfortunately for you, figuring this out might be on your list of tasks, lol! Mostly, I would like to be more independent from ‘ICT help desk’ at work.
Hey Janelle I'll be very happy to help you out and ensure you gain in-depth knowledge of any ICT stuff of interest. Coul you give an example of what you mean by when things aint working as they should? Thanks
Thanks! Sorry to not be more specific, but in many cases I won’t know what I need until I’ve been shown, if that makes sense? An example of wen things are not working might be when the airplay server wasn’t working at my school. I felt like I’d tried everything (iPad update, air server update, etc) and had to ask a tech person to come help. I have no idea what they did, but it worked for that day. The next day, tech person wasn’t at school and the audio stopped working. I had to wait for them to be back at work and again, I have no idea what they did. By that point, the lesson I wanted it for was another week away. All this set me back in teaching the program I had planned by at least 2 weeks! Because I had updated the iPad, I also had several problems with that too! I like to be more independent than this :) Do I make more sense now?
