Hey Patrick, pleasure to assist. May I ask what tv box you have installed?
It just says tv box in gold writting on a black box. Its a six sided cube
The TV box should connect to modem not PC so problem will be with wifi signal and speed.
Check internet for Dlink PowerLine adapter kit. They come in pairs - one will connect to modem and plug in to power point and use the electrical wiring in house to send data to 2nd adapter in other room which you would then connect to TV box. The power line adapters vary in price from $80 but the ones I use approx $150. Foxtel will use these if no data cable in house. They are plug and play so easy to setup and get working usually.
Thanks pete. Could it have anything to do with my computer being full?
You could use a ethernet over power adapter. I use the the 1000mbps version for my son's gaming PC and also internet to foxtel and works fine. Look at something like Dlink PowerLine adapter kit which are generally better then TP link or netgear versions.
Hi Pete,, sorry youve lost me completely. I'm a ludite. Whats the cost of doing this all up?
To stop buffering a cable connection back to modem will give you best result. How far from modem to TV and is there any data cabling in house?
Its in another room ....about 15 meters. Wife diesnt wanr cords through the house
