I need someone just to fit a roller door motor onto the roller door axle. Setting up the unit is not required, I just do not have the tools or expertise to get the unit up there.

Runner will require a ladder and perhaps a socket wrench to undo the ubolt and brackets. Prior roller door experience may be useful as other tools such as rope may be necessary to hold the door in place.

Thanks Wally, yes it is a very similar design to the Chamberlain - the unit is an old B&D MPC-3.

Not sure if you are willing to help out with sourcing and fitting some new timber?

If so - name your price!

are you fitting the chamberlain door closer with the bracket you would definitly have to move the bracket to make it fit you would have to put another piece of timber to get the 45mm clearance.

Hi Wally, Ive just added some pics and did some measuring as well. Looks like I might have an issue as the distance between the most inner part of the bracket and the edge of the door is only 28mm, wheas I need a 45mm clearance for the motor.

Im not sure if there is anywhere else to place the bracket, the inner wall is brittle fibro - have a look at the photos and see what you think, and if you think it is possible feel free to make an offer.
Il have a look at the pics and see if it's possible

Hi Wally, no I dont have an existing motor up. Im assuming the existing bracket holding the door itself is all that is needed (whether or not the unit will fit on the existing bracket is another question - but of course you will still get paid if the unit just doesnt fit on the existing hardware).

I can put up a pic tonight - feel free to bid what you think is fair given your experience.
