Shop fit-out of a new laundromat in Midland. 54 square metres. Washers and dryers only. Need floor covering, signage erected and all normal shop-fit out requirements. Power etc. I would need you to visit the shop with the keys and inspect to give a quote to complete in the next 8 weeks. I will be getting 3 quotes. Thank you.

Hi, I am a shopfitter. Know a reasonable amount about professional washing machines, (did work for Speed Queen), but have not done a laundromat. My offer is for planning / building licence application. We can scope out the job properly before you proceed.

The rate quoted is a m2 rate that is inclusive of partitions, ceiling, wall and floor finishes, power and data, hard furnishings, and includes an allowance for signage.

As you would appreciate this price is dependent on a number of factors including the level of finish you are after and the timeframe we have to complete this project.
I would love to have the chance to provide you with a detailed and comprehensive quote that suits both your requirements and budget.

Best Regards,

Yes the Kingsley Laundromat is pretty good. I put a review of it on Google maps I was so impressed. I can definitely do cabinetry to that standard, got decent tiler for the floors, (or we can go vinyl), and if you have a plumber that's great because although mine is OK he's more into my kitchen and bathroom reno's. I am just about finished my little cafe, so I think a laundromat would be just perfect to flow into. Look forward to hearing from you.

I'll call you, yes my husband did the design and build on Kingsley and owns it. I want the black and gold version of that pls as my budget is not big business. I have a quote for plumbing I'm happy with. Let's do that plan. I'll call you thanks.
basic plan to get through council for a building licence would be maybe $800 - $1200. This would give you full compliance with the NCC and also serve as your works plan for contractors, giving tight specification of all the aspects of the job, so you get what you need.. A fit out like Kingsley would be around $25-35K, excluding machines. Cabinetry is minimal, main costs would be plumbing and sparks.
I just looked at Kingsley Laundrette a couple of days ago, the deli across is my local. Could you just give me a call please, it would be so much easier to talk about your brief. Please look at the pdf or get in touch with your agent.

Hi Steve, do you have a ball-park quote you could give me for a basic plan and shop fit-out based on as many washers and dryers as I could get in there? If you have a look at Kingsley Laundrette - I would like to achieve a cost-effective version of that premises. Thanks.
