Hi Shelly,

Both my wife and I worked for Apple as technicians, and we would be happy to assist you with this. We can attend during the week at any time.

Hi Shelly,

Doesn't matter what the old machine was, we will have no problem transferring the data for you. We are keen to assist whenever you would like.
If you are coming from PC, the transfer process using Apple Migration Assistant uses wifi. Do you have wifi at your house? The best approach will be a visit, start the migration then do a quick follow up using remote support tools like TeamViewer.

This is a brand-new iMac that was bought today. The transfer will mainly be photos, setting up a couple of emails etc.
The PC that all the information is coming from is only a couple years old.
Hi Shelly
Is the data transfer for this from PC to Mac? Also what files do you want to transfer?
Thanks
Peter
Hi, Im happy to put in an offer. One question is what kind of computer are you coming from? Is it an older Mac or a Windows PC? That could be quite a bit of work. Apple's included migration utility can do most of the work. Since I have run an Apple focused IT company for the last 17 years as well as I teach, I can certainly help with all followup questions.
