Hi there!

We're a market research company based in Melbourne and currently researching about how people purchase and consume honey. The research is with people based around the world participating in an online forum to discuss different topics about honey products.

We are currently seeking someone to assist in both translating and moderating the online discussion with Chinese participants. This will involve translating the discussion questions, reading participants responses, briefly translating and summarising their points in English, and responding to them in Chinese (Mandarin) with further questions around the research topic.

We are based in the Melbourne CDB and would need you to join us in our office. The online community will be running for 3 days (Tuesday 29th, Wednesday 30th, Thursday 31st). The moderating will take roughly 4 hours a day.

The right Airtasker will be fluent in both Chinese (Mandarin) and English and ideally have a background in marketing or social sciences. You should be friendly, inquisitive and be comfortable chatting and discussing with people in an online forum. We can provide a laptop for you to work on, but if you'd like to bring your own, you can. Also the dates may shift back or forth a day, so please let me know your availability throughout next week. Also able to give full phone and in person briefing upon assigning the task as well.

Please let us know a bit about yourself below and if you have any questions you may have, ask away!

Hi James, I am a native Chinese speaker who spent 13 years in Hong Kong before moving to Australia 6 years ago. I can speak fluent Mandarin and Cantonese, and intermediate Japanese. I am currently employed as a fieldwork interviewer in a social research firm on a casual basis, and my main role is to recruit and screen Chinese-speaking participants whenever they are needed. I've also acted as an interpreter in a face-to-face group discussion session. I'm currently studying psychology in the University of Melbourne and have experience in research from my academic experience. I hope you would consider me, have a nice day!
