I just bought a new Epson XP400 printer and have put in a compatible ink cartridge. Now the printer wont work. Does anyone know how to remove the chip in these printers that recognize generic ink cartridges and stops them printing? I also have two Canon printers with the same problem. (I actually refilled those cartridges and thought that buying generic ones for the Epson would ok.) So the job is to remove the chips from the 3.

I can have a look, but it wont work all the printers, but no fix.. no charge!
I think the 'chips' are on the authorised ink cartridges, not in the printer. Fake chips or no chips won't work.
My attempts with copy, 'compatible' cartridges have always been a waste
of time and money. Eager to hear a positive opinion here:)
