We're renovating and want to remove a 3 year old Samsung Split system aircon from our living room at home and re-install it in an apartment. Both properties are in Brisbane's west - about 10km apart. I'm kind thinking our super airtasker is an Aircon, Electrician or similar and it's probably a 'weekend' kind of job. But, delighted to hear from anyone of course

Have you decided what way you want to go with this task ?
I'm happy to offer price for removal only but really don't like installing second hand units as there's no warranty and it's not a cheap excercise so most well spend the same money installing a new warranted unit
"Honestly " the costs involved in moving an old unit then having no warranty on it my personal recommendation is to leave it where it is an just get a new unit installed at the other location licensed electrician full aircon license happybto discuss further

Hi Nick, timely response and great questions. Currently it's back to back ground floor in our house, the outdoor unit on tiles. It's a straight forward remove I suspect as we're renovating. We want to move it to a rental unit at St. Lucia, with the outdoor unit on the balcony and what I think will be a short(ish) run of around 1.5 - 2m inside for the head unit. The apartment is first floor, however due to slope, the side balcony is pretty much ground level maybe +1m. I have photos of the unit itself I can text you - found these of the apartment online - photo 5 shows living room, balcony and short side wall for the head unit. you should be able to click and view
Hi mark, Do you have any photos of the system currently and where you want it to go?
What type of residence is it to be removed from? House ? Unit?
Is the apartment 1st floor?
Is the apartment brick?
Is it a back to back new installation?
