Hi,

I need help rebooting/reinstalling windows vista home premium 32bit on my ASUS M50VC series (AP012C).

Background info:
- I have bought a new 120G SSD drive as replacement. But do not have the recovery disk. I do not need to recover my data.
- I have the S/N & Product number for the Vista which was pre installed on my laptop.
- Currently the ASUS logo starts up, but then goes to error message
"reboot select proper boot device insert media select boot device press key"

- I'd like to get the recover cd from asus, but struggling to find a site to download this from.

Location is at next to circular quay station, I'm available Mon-Fri 8.30am to 6pm
I have limited internet access from the mobile.

Thanks

In otherwords, its not detecting your hard disk due to it being a solid state. THe original drive for this is a SATA 7200RPM for a M50VC.
I have identified your issue assuming that this is a M50VC. The solid state drive you have requires additional drivers to be booted from the Bios. Unless your running the latest bios or uploading the file from a network PX there is no way youll be able to load it on the Solid State Drive. Thus, I would want to make sure your Bios is picking up the HDD? In anycase, any issues please feel free to contact me.
