Hey guys,

I want to have a crack at cooking pork belly tonight, I've never bought it before. Can someone tell me where I can get pork belly and what I should expect to pay per kilo?

I work in Wynyard but plan to stroll up George to Townhall later so even China town is not too far.

Thanks Lynn that's really helpful, I got lazy tonight and picked up 1/2 a duck from China Town but tomorrow will try to pork belly it up at Market City.

Thanks Ed! I'll go for the market city recommendation.

Sorry for the laggy reply guys got really busy, Lynn if you bid on the task I'll transfer the $5 and leave you a good review :)
If you wanna eat it Korean style, then I suggest you buy some lettuces and wrap it, you can pick any sauce you like to dip with it. Usually they use these sorta chinese mustard to go with it, you will be able to get all the spices and everything else in the chinese IGA market in Market City. They close at 8pm.
Go to Thai Kee IGA supermarket at Market City and they have a butchery section. You can get pork belly there, just around $6.99 to $8.99 per kg. You don't need to pay me for this info, cooking it ,is easy...If you have a normal pan, just drizzle some soy sauce over the meat with some salt and sugar, pepper to taste and mix it up first and you can pan fry it and it's good to go.
have seen pork belly in vacume sealed packs @ Coles and woollies for $10-15 per kg. try Coles under world square in ur work area,
Or chinatown butcher.
