I have a storage unit in Chatswood with a bunch of stuff in it. I want to get rid of the stuff. But it's all worth something if I could be bothered selling it but I'm just so busy I don't have the time to deal with it.

So this is where you come in ;)

I propose that you come and take care of selling it for me, and you can keep half of what you sell it all for in exchange for your time.

I estimate the stuff is probably worth about $200-300 all up, second hand, so you're looking at probably $100-$150 for yourself, for your efforts, but the better your sales skills the more you can get ;)

I've attached some photos, but here's a list of what we're looking at:

----------------------
furniture:
1x king single ensemble bed
4x small dining chairs
2x cushioned bar stools
4x folding white partitions
1x small table with wheels

kitchen/dining:
2x 16 piece hampshire dining set, as new, in original boxes.
many assorted pots, pans, cutlery, kitchen tools, etc.

office:
Brother HL-2040 black and white laser printer (it was about $120 new a couple of years ago, I think)

Various other assorted stuff in boxes that might be worth something or maybe you just give it to vinnies/the salvos or whatever.
----------------------

The plan is that you go to the storage unit and collect the stuff. I almost certainly won't be able to come to meet you but I've left the key at the front desk in the storage facility, so you don't even need me. Go get the stuff (you'll need a van or a ute), take it away, sell it all, and then come back and give me half the money.

I'll be using an honour/trust system here. I don't really have any way of policing this. So yes, you could come and take it all away and then I never hear from you again, or you could lie about what you sold it for and give me less than my share. If you're the sort of person who does that, then so be it. It's only a bit of money, but it's your karma. But hopefully I'll find an honest person to complete this task for me.

The due date is when I need it all picked up and taken away from the storage by and it's actually fairly arbitrary. Basically I need the stuff removed from the storage facility asap, but you can take as long as you like to sell it all... well... within reason.

The money I've indicated that I'll pay for this is an estimate. As I explained above it is basically you get to keep half of what you sell the stuff for. If you can sell the stuff for more than $200 then you get more than $100 for your efforts.

The bed alone is probably worth $100 or more. The printer is probably worth $50. And the partitions I think I paid about $400 for them ($100 each) a few years ago, so they've gotta be worth something still. The rest is icing on the cake so to speak ;)

Any questions, by all means please ask.

Matthew and Kathleen: Thanks for your bids. Now I have the difficult task of choosing between you both. Can I ask you both for your eBay profile names so I can check you both out there? Thanks!

Matthew. Question: I've sold a lot of stuff on ebay myself, and if the ad is well presented and the starting price is zero, with a fair postage price. I've never failed to sell something, even if at ridiculously low price. But low is better than nothing. Under what circumstances have you found something will fail to sell at all?
Matthew haven't you heard the saying one man's trash is another mans treasure
