Hi, can you please send me the brand please so I can look up assembly online? I work as a painter and art finisher. What sort of paint job would you like on the cubby?

Hi it’s from kmart
Hi Linda,
Very happy to help. I am painting a cubby house at present.
It is not as straightforward a task as one would first think. These cubby houses are raw wood so first need a primer sealer undercoat, otherwise the raw wood literally drinks the paint.
Then, if you wish the trim to be painted white, as in the photos, this MUST be done last, after the main colour has been painted and allowed sufficient time to dry. Realistically you should allow visits over two days. It is mighty intricate work. Done properly, the painter should use masking tape around all the edges of the trim when painting the trim.
But I repeat: the painter must not attempt to paint with the second colour whilst the first is still wet, otherwise you will end up with a result like my client's which I am fixing (see photo).
It is a fiddly job and requires great care and patience. Also, the best result will be from a painter that uses a small 100mm roller for the larger panels rather than a brush and a smaller roller for the trim as well as a small brush for the trim edges.
Regards,
Jeff
