Looking for quotes to install non standard sliding door to bathroom ensuite. Door will also need a bulkhead as opening runs to the ceiling which is of standard height. Door and sliding frame will also need to be painted white to match other door. Masters have advised that they can provide the door but need to check if I can get quotes for install first. Happy to consider supply and install quotes as well and may be able to get the task assigned sooner if quote is competitive

Hey Dan, was looking at this. I have engineered some tricky sliding doors to bathrooms. I usually produce bulkheads out of MDF MR, rather than gyprock, as you can get really precise and thin line shapes, as well as tricky profiles. As soon as you paint it looks like gyprock. I also have fabricated custom doors for ensuites with no tracks at all showing. I can email you pictures. I can quote you exactly once I see the job. If you're not happy I'll refund the $50 minus the Airtasker fee
Cool bananas!

Looks impressive Steve. Let's meet and then take this forward according to what you suggested in your first comment. I am leaning towards a standard door as we are mainly getting it done as we are losing a lot of heating during winter on account of the open ensuite. I like your IKEA idea as well. I will accept your offer shortly
Actually just saw another possibility where we just go with a 970 standard sliding door, and you get a niche shelf to the WIR side. We could probably get something cheap from IKEA and whack a LED light in. Display your high heels or put a door on it
If I sheet in the reveal above the door head, it will end up looking like any standard sliding door you will see. We would just go a split metal door frame so you have to fill a couple of screw holes, and you will see two fine vertical knuckle joins in the wall above the doorway, but probably only you will notice them.
Yes, I think I can just infill the door opening above to create a standard reveal. The translucent door I am uploading cost a motza, but the track system can be used with a plain, although non standard sized door.
