hi! my motorbike got some water in the fuel tank during the rain. it now refuses to start - kick start or ignition. i tried putting metho in but i think there is just too much water there. i need someone to drain the fuel tank, refill with some fresh fuel, get it started and/or work out why it won't start and give some advice on what to do next. must bring own tools and equipment as well as a bit of fuel to top back up (there is a petrol station 30 metres away if needed). it's a 2008 Sachs Express, great little bike but nearing the end of its life.

Will drain fuel tank tomorrow and flush, will also check spark plug. Includes fresh fuel. But not a new spark plug if required

Sounds great Michael. If you have a spark plug happy to pay for it, or maybe the petrol station will sell one?
Am a mechanical engineer by trade.
How much water do you think got in? Was the cap totally off or is the cap leaking?
Not sure at the moment possibly on Sunday won't know till Sunday as I need to go to at south Melbourne. Will depend on that and family. I would come tonight but I don't have tools with me.

Hi Jase, this is exactly the kind of know-how I need. Could be spark plug... Would you be free on the weekend?
