I've got a motorcycle exhaust pipe which was a dodgy home job from the previous owner. It's got some cracks along the previous welds. I need an experienced mig welder who is confident with thin metals to go over the old welds and also patch up a small hole as seen in the photo.

If the welds are fairly neat there's no need for me to grind them back to make the pipe smooth as that will look kind of cool

Need it done pretty soon, want to ride on Friday.

I'm happy to pay for good welding

I can drive it to you in Melb.

Yeah, it's a bit tricky when they start to corrode... I'll do my best to give you a quality result. The hole will need some filling, then I'd grind it smooth. Then weld around the pipe laying a series of spots. (More of a Tig looking weld) I've quoted based on doing the job tomorrow arvo. If you want it done later in the week, I'll knock another $20 off. Let me know if you're keen and which day and I'll adjust the offer.
Hey Eddie, The grinding back was **** all, it had a hole already which is why exhaust fumes we're getting out. It also had a full layer of corrosion as it was wrapped in tape. We barely touched it with the grinder.
I just want to get 3 lines of welding done and yep I have the high temp paint ready to go. How much for just the 3 welds? And would you be able to do it tomorrow or Tuesday?
I'll quote on repair of the pipes you have at the moment and if you like we can discuss the stainless option later)
Probably 1.6mm . Just looks like the grinding back on the welds has made it a bit weak/thin. Not sure on price on new stainless. Doesn't look too complicated. One end of one piece looks like a different diameter. I'm sure I could make a new one in stainless if you wanted, but I'd be happy to run around the pieces you have already if you like first. I assume you'll paint it in high temp exhaust paint afterwards?
good job Richard
