Hello. We have a 7 month old border collie called Bear and we are currently deciding whether to take her with us on holiday or to find a place for her to stay. We are in Glen Iris but happy to travel to drop her off. She’s a lovely dog, but she is naughty and we are working through the training, but I could not say she is much of a robot as yet. We have two boys 12 and 10 and she plays with them constantly, but she does get excited and jump up when she sees people so she’s probably not a great fit for very small kids. So, to sum it up, she’s a lovely pup with normal puppy behaviour but she’s also cute and great to have around. We will be leaving on the 20th and back around the 5th - 8th of Jan. We would provide all the food for her time. She’s got all her shots, working, flea and tick treatments if you have another dog and are thinking of having Bear join you for Christmas. Any questions please feel free to ask

“We loved getting some photos and videos of our dog while we were away. Our dog is a naughty one, but Candice was a great host for her regardless. Thank you!”

“Bear is the sweetest dog, albeit a bit bonkers. We had a ball having her here.”

Hi Steve! I'd love to have Bear over for Christmas! I've got a lovely docile Greyhound for her to hang out with, and a decent size yard to run around in. I'm home most of the time so will be around to supervise and love and teach her what not to chew on in the house. There's also a bunch of parks nearby. I'm a student vet nurse and work in animal rescue and rehabilitation, so have plenty of experience introducing dogs to other species and helping them learn to get along. Plus I have a cat who LIVES for dogs and would love to play with Bear (my neighbour's retriever puppy often comes over for tumbling around sessions with the cat haha). Happy for you to bring Bear for a meet and greet with my small horde of fluffy housemates. We live in Bentleigh East.

Greyhounds aren't active dogs, but we're an active family so Bear can have as many walks as she likes! (Now I can't see full comments. Pesky app!)
And now I can. Sheesh haha. Bribery works wonders for dogs, doesn't it? 😂

Sounds great. Thanks Candice
Hi steve, what is Bear like with other dogs? I have a 7 year old kelpie (very friendly) who’d love some company over Xmas

Hi Brad. She’s had some experience with other dogs at dog training and she goes ok. She’s a little timid sometimes but she’s certainly interested. It would be good to be able to meet up with Bear and your dog previously but that’s a bit challenging in Airtasker as they rightly keep people apart until the job is accepted through the system. One important thing is that Bear is an outside dog which does not suit everyone.
Would be a good idea to have a play date before committing with another dog to make sure they get along. My dog spends most of his day outside but does sleep inside. I am on holidays over this period so I’d be spending a lot of time with them anyway and can ensure she spends her holiday outside if that’s her rule. I’ve got a large backyard with great undercover area where my dog often sleeps if it’s too hot
Let me know if you want to organise a meet with my dog. As I said, happy to keep bear outside if that’s her rule.
I'm a dog lover very big garden a big terrace
I have a lot of experience with dog because I used to have a dog
I would love to house sit bear. As for many years I have volunteered for the RSPCA with fostering animals. Therefore I have great experience and love all dogs.
Hi When you mention that she js naughty, does she dig up the garden? India
