IT support for windows server 2016

I have an issue where we remote desktop into a windows server 2016 machine and we have some users using a Logitech gaming mouse and keyboard for graphic design work. The mouse and settings work fine on the local PC (laptop) but when remoting into the server only the basic functions of the mouse work whereas we need the custom scroll settings and zoom-in and zoom-out buttons to work. I have googled this problem and its something to do with USB redirection but i cannot work out how to do this. If you know how to fix this issue please contact me as i am happy to pay you this to get it working.

Hi Daniel,

This is because the settings are most likely not being applied per user and the Group policy in Server 2016 is not being updated hence the inability to use the additional functionality.

This can be applied through some configuration changes on the Server 2016 host machine. You will need to use group policy editor along with making changes to the windows registry.

Whilst this may sound confusing and alienating believe me its not difficult as we have fixed issues like these many times. I run my own IT repair business supporting Sydney and the Illawarra and would be more than able to assist with this.

Daniel,

You need to accept an offer from somebody to troubleshoot the issue for you. No body can guarantee a fix, as by definition this issue requires troubleshooting. If they say they can, they cant. You need to assign the task to a tasker that you trust would do his/her best to give you a solution.

Use that mouse and keyboard directly in to server to get installed drivers. Than try it.

tried that it doesnt work. when accessing through rdp its blocking mouse settings and will only use basic mouse functions
