Issue with fan/light switch

Details
Replace light/fan switch as the switch has broken and the light/fan cannot be turned off. The switch was broken and I pulled it out of the wall and disconnected the black wires and turned power back on but fan and light still came on.I have taped up the black wires.

Mate from what I am seeing this is just a basic light switch not meant for a fan light combo whoever done this work should be reported
Sounds like you've got no idea. What's the difference between a normal switch and one that turns a fan on. Lol!
Nothing. It's just switching the module unit. How else can you do it haha

Please ensure you only use a licensed electrician. It is dangerous and illegal to do so otherwise. Using non licensed workers will void any warranties of installed products and your home insurance if something was to go wrong.
