Thanks for your offer Lance, can I confirm what materials you will need in addition to the floorboards and underlay? Also, when will you be available for this job? Thanks.

I charge by a square meter rate. I wouldn't really suggest putting laminate in the kitchen as it is a wet area, it doesn't do too well when exposed to moisture. If you really want to do it, we just use an angle to step it up onto the tiles.

Hi Lance, I'll hire you for the initial 30sqm now, but maybe we can look at the kitchen when you arrive tomorrow. Unit is empty at the moment so I hope that makes the job easier!
I can do this Saturday or Monday

Thanks Lance, this Saturday sounds good. I have another question, how much extra will it be (and is it possible) if I also wanted to put floorboards over the existing kitchen tiles? Understand that I will need to get a skirting to angle the step up so will need to factor that in too.
Just need some duct tape for the underlay. Have you got skirting?
Yeah it does
I would normally do it for $25/m2 plus a bit to remove and dispose of the carpet so you'd be looking at closer to double, but I'm open to negotiation?

Hi Tom, I can look after the dispose of the carpet, but does your /m2 rate cover the skirt boards as mentioned in my post? That will be an important part.
