Home Network | IMAP/gmail business | Facebook help

Hi, I am reasonably IT literate but have some problems with IT at home and with a small business I am now involved with. Whilst I would prefer someone who lives locally (10 minutes south of the Hobart CBD) I believe some of these issues could be easily fixed by remote assistance (I live in southern Tasmania but unfortunately Tasmania isn't supported by Airtasker - shame!).

1a. Fix Home Network - We have 3 computers at home, all PCs, but since we replaced the old 'main' computer none of them are networked anymore. Our printer is though! I really want to be able to view files on each computer, transfer files etc. I would also like one of the computers in particular checked for something which might be slowing it down.

1b. I have Telstra wireless broadband, a router modem that has worked fine for ages. Now, every day or two, all of a sudden one or more of the computers will be unable to connect to the internet. So we unplug it, wait, plug it in and it's good to go again. I want to know why it's doing this!

2. Convert pop3 to IMAP - I'm very frustrated with a computer system I use which involves Apple products and PCs - trying to get them to play nicely isn't going so well! The main issue is that we access our email through (personal) gmail on the PC, but because it is a pop3 system, emails that are 'sent' only appear on the device they were sent from, instead of being synced across all devices into a Sent folder. Actually, even getting folders is a problem! I like things organised, I want an empty email inbox with everything stored neatly in folders! I've been advised to get the business gmail app/system, which isn't a problem, but it looks like it is just going to create another set of user names etc.

3. Facebook - I am now responsible for a business Facebook page, and it's going just fine. BUT ..... we also seem to have a double up page somehow, or maybe a personal page, it drives me nuts! I want to shut down the 'old' account and if possible transfer everything over.

This is the first time I have used Airtasker but I get the idea, am happy to answer any questions within reason and should all go well will pay promptly and I'm happy to leave a review.

I would prefer to have the one person to deal with for all issues but realise this may not be possible so you are welcome to bid on parts.

I have budgeted 2 hours total for this for $50 but obviously if I need to split the tasks that's fine too. I'm very flexible with days/times and afterhours is fine too.

I have put a short lead time on this post to gauge the response, I do need these issues resolved quickly and if this isn't the best forum for it I need to know! Thanks for reading!

I'll complete all tasks for an initial $50 payment, and an additional $50 per task ($250 total). 20 years exp. in IT. I can most likely do all this remotely from the US. I'll refund everything if not satisfied or not completed.
I am happy to do network and face book task, the other one with out seeing cant tell.

Grrr, I spent ages making this look pretty and Airtasker just lumped all the text together. Sorry for the wall of text!
