I need someone to construct and install a simple, non-load bearing stud frame wall of the following dimensions:

4800mm long x 2660 high

Please include:

Frame
Gyprock sheeting
Cornice

I am also interested in a quote for JUST the framework.

Do not include painting, but do include flushing off the gyprock.

I have no idea of the cost, so have just guessed a figure.

We have a number of small jobs that need doing including cutting an opening in a brick wall, installing a couple of doors, framing up and gyprocking a door opening to door height for installation of a door etc.
Please mention if you are a good handyman and could do these tasks. Doesn't need to be done before Christmas, but must be able to start immediately after the New Year.

Thank you to all who have replied to this job. We will be making a decision over the holidays and will get back to you in the New Year.
Please be sure to read the job description carefully - we require a double-sided, stud frame wall to be installed across a room and it must include cornice, skirtings and flushing off, but not painting. Please indicate if your offer includes materials or not.
Thanks
Hi Rod ,
Im a nz qualified carpenter and have been doing this kind of work for years.
Can do everything but plastering and the painting
Hi rod you need to take into account 450mm ceters for studs noggins fixings bottom and top rail. Plaster board tape base coat top coat plaster. 45mm by 90mm in h2 treated should do it
Rod D.poster
Thanks Ricky - I think I got it all! Might get you to supply the plaster tape and plaster required - unless you can give me a rough idea how much would be needed. I calculated 400mm centres - is that too close?
A little bit can work with that. Can supply the plastering martials at cost price
Hi Rod.
I am a builder of many years experience in timber frame construction who is new to Airtasker and would be excellent at this job, I know what I am doing and will know what materials and internal wall stud spacings are required, I have also removed walls and cut in doors and windows in brickwork and can identify load bearing walls and how to support the roof timber when they are removed, these are not jobs for the inexperienced or unqualified.
My quote would be subject to a site inspection and a scope of work's.
Regards.

Hi Alan
As you are new to Airtasker, you wouldn't be aware that it's not possible to do a 'site inspection' prior to quoting. We are not allowed (or able) to exchange any private details before assigning the task. It does make things tricky for people like you and me (electrician) to quote, but you get used to it! What we need at this point is a quote for you to construct and install a stud frame partition wall (gyprock both sides) in the dimensions given. We can work everything else out later. Please state exactly what your quote includes bearing in mind that Airtasker take 15% of the value of the job.
