Research Brief

NOTE: Please only bid on this task if you know you are a capable researcher and enjoy collating information, you have completed several other Airtasker tasks, have 5-star reviews, and Airtasker Pro status also preferred, but not essential.

I’m also writing articles tomorrow on free Melbourne Winter 2013 events.
I require some support with the online research and information.
Here is the brief for the research should you decide to bid.

The following conditions apply to the task:
• $15 max (otherwise total costs become more than my income)
• Level of Difficulty: Easy*
• Due Wednesday the 8th of May 9am at latest if possible.
• 10 events x 10 fields x 5 words = 500 words (less than a page in text)
*Note: The Weekend Notes, Only Melbourne, and Time Out Melbourne sites and so on have 2012 events that are likely to have their 2013 websites set up by now for the events, and this will speed up the task significantly. Naturally, careful not too plagiarise, and unique ideas for cool events are also great.

Please create a spreadsheet with the following …

We can skip festivals in June as it’s already May:
I. Top 5 MEL Free Events July 2013 (one each category please), 10 fields, &
II. Top 5 Free Events in August 2013 (one each category please), 10 fields.
Not festivals, but events please.

Try for a FREE ($0) event from each batch (July, August) in each category:
a. Carnival / Fete / Parade / Community / Kids / Family event
b. Health / Sport/Fitness / Leisure / Lifestyle / Cooking / Food/Drink event
c. Music / Dance / Cinema / Theatre / Literature / Comedy event
d. Art / Craft / Exhibition / Lecture / History / Tour event
e. Other / Quirky / Creative / Unusual / Rare / New / Special event.
At minimum, please cover 3 categories for each of 5 festivals.

The following ten fields for each event please (~5 words response each):
1. WHAT: name of the event
2. DESCRIPTION: years running, notable speaker/performer
3. WEBSITE: link to the main website, particularly pages with photos
4. WHY: what makes this event quirky, original, creative, fun, value
5. WHEN: a day and date, times if relevant; sometime in the actual month
6. WHERE: specific location, in Melbourne suburb/s, address
7. HOW MUCH: Free, except for e.g. donation, or minor costs
8. PUBLIC TRANSPORT: how to get there on bus/tram/train, drive + park
9. PHONE+EMAIL: for further information if needed
10. NOTES: anything else important for the reader about the event
Please get whatever information you can get quickly & 75% complete fine.

Thank you.

G'day Geoff, I think I'm a good fit for the task, I used to live in Victoria, have plenty of family who I visit there regularly and most recently went over Christmas / new year 2012/2013. I am also a strong researcher and have only received 5-star reviews to date, and can have this done to a high standard. Let me know if I can help!
