MELBOURNE WINTER 2013 FESTIVAL CALENDAR
Research Brief

NOTE: Please only bid on this task if you know you are a capable researcher and enjoy collating information, you have completed several other Airtasker tasks, have 5-star reviews, and Airtasker Pro status also preferred, but not essential.

I’m writing articles tomorrow on festivals in Melbourne in Winter 2013.
I require some support with the online research and information.
Here is the brief for the research should you decide to bid.

CONDITIONS

The following conditions apply to the task:
• $20 max (otherwise total costs become more than my income)
• Level of Difficulty: Easy*
• Due Tuesday the 7th of May 2013 5pm
• 15 festivals x 10 fields x 5 words = 750 words (just over a page in text)
*Note: The Weekend Notes, Only Melbourne, and Time Out Melbourne sites and so on have 2012 festivals that are likely to have their 2013 websites set up by now for the festivals, and this will speed up the task significantly. Naturally, careful not too plagiarise, get the new dates right, and unique ideas are also great for some of the less known festivals.

REQUIREMENTS

Please create a spreadsheet with the following in a format that suits ...

We can skip festivals that are really expensive, e.g. opera tickets over $40.
I. 5 MEL festivals that are generally free,
II. 5 MEL festivals that are generally cheap, e.g. $1 to $10 per ticket
III. 5 MEL festivals generally medium to medium & more than $10, e.g. $30
Not events, but festivals please.

Try for a festival from each batch (free/cheap/pricey) in each category:
a. Carnival / Fete / Festival / Parade / Community / Kids / Family festival
b. Health / Sport/Fitness / Leisure / Lifestyle / Cooking / Food/Drink fest
c. Music / Dance / Cinema / Theatre / Literature / Comedy festival
d. Art / Craft / Exhibition / Lecture / History / Tour festival
e. Other / Quirky / Creative / Unusual / Rare / New / Special festival
At minimum, please cover 3 categories for each of 5 festivals.

The following ten fields for each festival please (~5 words response)
1. WHAT: name of the festival (must have the word “festival” in the title)
2. DESCRIPTION: a sentence on key theme, years running, highlight/s
3. WEBSITE: link to the main website/s, particularly pages with photos
4. WHY: what makes this festival special, notable, worth taking part in
5. WHEN: a day or date range, times if relevant; sometime b/w 1/6 & 31/8
6. WHERE: specific location or various, in Melbourne suburb/s, address
7. HOW MUCH: Free and/or Price Range, how to buy tickets
8. PUBLIC TRANSPORT: how to get there on bus/tram/train, drive + park
9. PHONE+EMAIL: for further information if needed
10. NOTES: anything else important for the reader about the festival
Please get whatever information you can get quickly and 75% complete fine.

Thank you.

I can do this Geoff. I'm only new to airtasker but I'm a uni student - I can do research with my eyes closed!
