We are looking for an architect or experienced landscaper to spend one to two hours providing us with some ideas regarding “what is possible” and very broadly how much it might cost, in relation to reworking the front / streetscape of our house.
We have a double-fronted typical 70s-style house on a block with a modest slope from front to back and a slight slope from side to side. There is a substantial double carport out front, whose entrance is from the side not the front – the crossover from the street is on one side of the property and the carport the other. There is also a bit of a garden with a big tree in it. The house and carport entrance are lower than street level, given the slope of the block. The surface of the carport and driveway from the crossover to the carport is bitumen, which is breaking up.
We want to renovate the whole front yard and carport, modernise and make it nice. Ideally we’d like to move the carport to the same side as the crossover, and make it front facing.
As described above, we’d like an architect to spend a bit of time with us and tell us what is possible and how much each option might cost.
The work can result in conversation only, or could result in a written report also – please describe whichever option works best for you.
