The floorboards are lifting in 3-4 sections of the floor, presumably because they are swollen from water damage. They have been laid over top of tiles.

The house is due to be demolished at end of year. We're after a safe, interim solution.

We have already tried jamming them back in place, suggest they need removing, planing and then liquid nails down.

They are loose in parts, because they are swollen and have popped out with the pressure. (No tongue and groove)
So they are loose and too big to currently fit?
Yes, boards pull out easily.
Do the boards come out easily?
Unfortunately no. It's a rental, whereby the landlord refuses to fix this trip hazard as he is knocking house down. But he's given us permission to fix ourselves in anyway.
