I need someone with some experience with cars to repair the passenger window on my '94 BMW 318i which has come off it's power-window track. I am told this is a very simple matter of taking the door-case off and then placing back on track, then resealing the door, but I'm not confident that I will be able to get the door case back on if I do it.

Also, there is some rust damage from a scratch on the side that I would like treated (I will reimburse you for the cost of the treatment product up to $20).

Nothing is as simple as you are told with window winders and tracks. A window should not fall off the track or winder for no reason. Something must have broke or a worn out part must have caused it to fall off. Have you had the cover off to inspect the problem
