Need a computer tech person to help me fix my hard drive. My computer has decided it no longer wants to recognise it when plugged into the USB port. It is also making a beeping noise!! Have tried to fix myself to no avail. I really need someone who is tip top with hard drives and can at last extract all my stuff off it onto my new one if its not fixable. This hard drive has all my travelling photo's on etc.. Very important and personal, so you must know what you are doing.

You won't have to pay me if I can't fix it.
I can try and make the recovery for you, but if it is HDD failure, you'll need to pay for a professional data recovery company (which i can help you find) to get your files off the disk, if still possible. Depending on the extend of your hard drive failure, full recovery may or may not be possible.
Alas I do not have the recovery disc. Any other steps of advice...
Load up the appropriate recovery software for the previous file system if it is corrupted. Mechanical failure is usually not worth the cost/effort to recover (potentially in the hundreds and thousands).

Give this a go first:
This could be 1 of 2 things. 1. The Hard Drive is not being powered properly. Is it a USB Powered Drive or one that has its own power as well. If its USB Powered then the Port you are plugging into might not draw enough power for it. 2. The drive has shat itself and is gone.
