We have wooden parquetry floor in our apartment, and it has come off the concrete in a few spots. We have kept most of the little sticks, but probably missing about 10 pieces.

I need someone to:
- glue down the bits that have come off
- replace the missing ones
- sand them flat as some are a bit raised.

Total area is probably about 1 to 1.5m2.

Hi Sarah, I am a qualified carpenter and used to manufacture and maintain parquetry floors.

I have two jobs in Caulfield tomorrow , concluding on Wednesday. The challenges would be:

1. Using a product that would resist the moisture in the floor that is causing them to raise. I have such a product
2. Matching the floor colour with the new timber. I would use kiln dried hardwood and have machines that can thickness and plane the small pieces to the right size.

The aim would be to do an invisible repair. Even though it is a tiny repair it would require that I go away and prepare the timber and a second visit to fit the new wood.

I wont leave until you are happy with the result, cheers Damon Carr

Sounds good, thanks Damon. Btw, we used to have a leaky hot water cylinder which caused the moisture in the main problem area (it's now been removed). Not sure what caused the other spot. Cheers, Sarah
