I purchased a wall-mounted chin up bar and need help in installing it on my gyprock wall. I don't have the tools so was needing some help.
From instructions (pic attached) it says:

1. you will need to locate wall studs
2. secure timber plate (approximate size is [Content Moderated] x 300) to located studs
3. paint the timber (if required) to match the colour of your wall
4. secure chin up bar to the timber plate

Haha thanks Kathleen! I love that you are up for a challenge. I look at it, and think oh my god, where do i start! Havent used this site before so forgive me if there are any errors..
The whole job (apart from the paint drying) shouldn't take more then 2 hrs including trip to hardware
It isn't a major job but if you aren't use to doing that sort of thing it seems daunting. As for the blind as I said we can take it to Bunnings and they should be able to advise on how to fix it
I am free for the next 3 days morning afternoon or whenever so it's up to you. (Never tell a female you can't do that or they will prove you wrong)
Hi Kevin Yes I have done a lot of this sort of thing and I know how to find out how to do things if I don't know. eg. was told I couldn't build a fireplace in my house without major constrution work but I kept asking questions till I found a way,
