We have an older undermount rangehood in place that we are replacing with a newer model.

The height of the new rangehood is slightly taller so it needs some carpentry work. A power supply is in place already.

It requires cutting the flue and flue housing and moving a shelf up slightly to accommodate the new height. May require a small piece of timber for support. We have some offcuts that may be usable for this

I've posted pictures of the current rangehood and the new one and current flue housing and the technical specifications of the new undermount rangehood.

Yes you're right Alex
Thanks for that pic. Can see clearly now that the cabinet needs to be pulled out and modified and new piece framed off for the bottom.

I've posted an image with the measurements on it
from the specs the new rangehood needs 254mm in height to clear.
What the height from the bottom panel to the shelf currently?

Looking at the pics the front moveable facia is for access to the current rangehood. The issue is the shelf where this forms the framework of the cabinet. Cant just cut the bottom of the cabinet out. Depending on the current height the cabinet would need to come out. Have done this so many times when rangehoods are too large in height for the current replacement space.
