Find a cheaper freight alternative

Posted by Peter W.

Due date
Tuesday, 6th Nov 2012
I'm a drum builder who buys a lot of drums and drum parts from the USA.

On average, delivery with companies like FedEx and USPS can cost upwards of $300 per order, which tends to cut into my profit margin quite considerably. (Usually, 1 order = 1 drum kit.)

I'm interested to find out if there are any alternative USA to AUS freight options out there that would be more cost effective than FedEx, USPS and the like.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Hey guys,

Thanks for your interest. Just to add a little more info/context, the process would basically entail the transport of the raw drum materials from the supplier's warehouse in Nashville TN to Sydney, Australia.

If you reckon you can help, let me know.

I am working in freight for 15 years now, I also have my own freight forwarding business. Feel free to contact me
Can't help with freight but I am on the lookout for a new set of drums !
I have just placed a bid. I have a company I can put you in touch with, the receive wholesale rates from the large transport companies and can pass the discounts on to you and they are able to set up processes to make it a very easy exercise every time you need to re order more products
I can't help you with the freight, but I can help save you money on the currency conversion?
