Expert importer to help source suppliers

Posted by Chris K.

Due date
Wednesday, 30th Aug 2017
I am currently in the early stages of starting a business and seeking an experienced importer in the China market to help me source a list of reputable and qualified Homeware manufacturers/suppliers (no wholesalers) and their verified contact information. Due diligence must be done to ensure these are legitimate businesses.

Please advise your experience and how you can support and guide me through the process

Hi chris I have two fashion labels we import from USA china, Bangladesh. I can hit up all my suppliers for homewares as we also had a homewares business. Predominantly cushions. If you would like to further explain the types of products we can look into this and start all the steps for production. Do you need to create original pieces for sampling or are you wanting to source ready made product you can onsell.
Hi Chris, I used to export electronics from China. I have a friend in Shenzhen who helped me with this. She did all the ground work for me like verifying business, organising samples, purchasing goods from different suppliers and organising delivery. You can pay her per hour base initially, let me know if you are keen and I can introduce her to you. I will pay her for first few hours out of this to get the ball rolling, Thanks NP
Just to add when I visited China, she organised visa, accommodation and meeting with suppliers for me.

Hmm yes definitely sounds like a good approach to deal with somebody local in China. Do you know what she charges or package deal? Just like to know how much I'm up for
Yes especially language is going to be the biggest issue, so always good to have someone speak local language and negotiate the best deal for you. I do like to mention that she has been working in electronics so her exposure to homewares is minimal. With money, you can agree on reasonable per hour charge on casual or full-time base directly with her depending on your requirements. Salaries are not as high in China as here. Perhaps you do some work with her for few days and then agree on terms.
