I need someone to do some electrical work with me - I'm not an electrician though i'm pretty handy - I'm sick of tradesmen stroking their chins and telling me how difficult simple things are - ceiling light won't switch on - I recently moved floorboards in the attics so have probably disturbed a connection

Approx 1-2 hours work - there's a couple other little tasks we can do if we get this one done super fast

I'll help - diagnosis is the main issue I'm struggling with

Hi Josh - have you done much household electrical work? Can you put a junction box in/replace the existing light fitting etc? The last guy did a half-arsed job of it. I have bought the parts.

Other bits & pieces include: 1) replacing the light switch with a combo lightswitch/plug socket panel (bought); 2) connecting up an additional socket off the back of an existing one (on the other side of the wall); 3) if we have time having a look at why my ceiling fans won't switch on
I can help you with this, however I am not a licensed electrician. I do work with electricity and electronics in my day to day work though. What are the other tasks that need doing?
