Elly, if your Excel knowledge is lacking and this is a common task here's a tip to save yourself a tonne of time. You can separate names into separate fields with the text-to-columns feature using space as a separator. You can then concatenate your "van der Waal" type surnames with concatenation - i.e. in E3 you could type =CONCATENATE(B3," ", C3," ", D3). 2 minutes work! There are even quicker ways but this is a novice method that you could study through Google in 5 minutes.
Thank you!

Daryl C. for your response, will consider you for future jobs.
I'm an expert in MS Office. I'll use advanced wildcard features or, depending on need, maybe a macro to handle "van der Walt" and "Fred Smith jnr" and similar tricky names. I can have it done today.
Hi Elly, I work as a Data Analyst for a living and I can definitely perform any manipulation and analysis of the data you require.
It would be great if you can contact me to discuss all requirements. I can have your data back to you by COB today. Thanks!
