I have a NESS D16x alarm system. I just need a phone line connected to it, for someone who is familiar with the system it should be a quick ~30min job or less.

Victor, open up the alarm panel, plug RJ45 cable to the port and connect the 3g dialler.
Is your NBN box inside your comms room beside the alarm?
Any photo's of inside the comms room??

Just need to connect it to this box (normal telephone port)
Sorry, can't help.
I don't know about wireless 3G dialers

Hi Kaz, you can ignore the 3g dialler. All it does is provide the equivalent of a wall plug for a phone line. I can do that but myself.

Hi Laz, this is in a house. The Alarm control box in the comms room. Currently it is hard wired (a mess!) to our actual (working phone line). Now that we've switched to NBN I would like to connect it directly to a wireless 3G phone dialler.

I could do it myself - but I'm not 100% sure where the phone line plugs into the alarm box. Happy to pay on a hourly basis as well if it ends up being a much lengthier job, which i don't think it will.
Where is the alarm control box in relation to the phone line?
House or unit?
