We need some help working out what can solve our tracking needs. We currently use excel to track about 120 orders, all on different timelines. We need something automated to alert us to critical path dates. I've looked at MS Project and it didn't seem to be a good fit....but maybe I'm wrong? Are there good software tracking production of apparel? Without being overly complex or expensive. Or is there a better way to use excel in a more complex way? This task is for advice. But further tasks will be for implementation if appropriate.

Hi Kelly,

What propose is to ENGANCE your EXISTING system by designing a User Interface (UI) in excel without requiring to buy or learn other software.
1) The UI will significantly enhance your data entry
2) The UI will allow time-tracking entries based on your excel orders, with automatic notifications either (a) every time you open excel or (b) when you use the User Interface or (c) through other conditions that we can discuss work better for you.

You will fully own the system I develop
Questions(5)
You can send me the excel and I'll have an idea on how much restructuring the data might require (if at all) and we can take it from there.
Hi again Kelly,

My quote includes:
1) analysing your current Excel data structure
2) discuss your full requirements for tracking
3) design a mockup User Interface that you're happy with
4) code the data entry (including time to track critical dates) for the User Interface and the data structure (whether old or new)
5) deliver the completed solution for testing
6) assist with significant issues when using (if any)

Hi Ameel, sounds great. Your quote for $130, what would that include?
I could send you our current excel spreadsheet for you to see what steps we are looking at as a starting point and discuss further.
Hi again Kelly, just by way of introduction: I am new to Airtasker, but my compentency in programming, including excel VBA is unmatched.

Moreover, once a task is assigned to me, I will deliver the project even if the scope is larger than originally planned.
Hello, Kelly.

Would you mind giving more details on what process are involved in your business. Do you do production, etc.?
