Hi everyone,
I have photos on a Blackberry Torch 9860 which has encryption so all the photos and videos have the .jpg.rem extension on them and I'm unable to view the pics on a computer or move them as normal picture files I.e .jpg .. Just need someone who is confident and familiar with Blackberry to do it quickly. Let me know.

Let me know if easier on the phone or to meet in person so you can drive the process.

Yer Agreed Sal- that's the one downside, you need space. Perhaps try it with one image and see if it works and if it does just do it I'm blocks copying some and then deleting the encrypted file to make more space to copy more :)

Hi Will I will try that.. But I think I tried it before and it said there is insufficient space to copy files to another folder.. Anyway it's my dads phone so I'll try it tonight and let you all know! Thanks
or the other way to do it is

go to
Options>Media Card>Encrypt Media Files> No

Options>Media Card>Encryption Mode>None

send your REM pics to your e-mail (yahoo....) or upload them on facebook from your BlackBerry.
Did that work? Hey Sal, if that works would be good to assign Will so he can earn a reward for that very quick solution :) - I will have to check my hubby's Blackberry now.
Hi Sal, Go to :

Options> Media Card> Encrypt Media Files> No
Options> Media Card> Encryption Mode> None

Then you can just 'COPY' them to a different folder on your media card.

The copy (AFTER you have turned off Encryption), will all be without the .rem extension.

Good luck!
