In need of a carpenter or really anyone who is handy with a saw and a hammer to replicate an existing piece of timber that serves as bracket in a bed base. There previously was a pair, but one broke, so I need to replace it. You will be able to take measurements from the non-broken one, buy a new piece of timber, cut it to size and replicate the existing bracket, and screw it back on to the existing base.

You must be able to come and pick the bed base and pieces up, do all work off site and deliver back when you are done. They are all unassembled at present and will def fit in a Ute, van, wagon or in roof racks

For someone who knows what they are doing it will probably take you a couple of hours if that.

I can conceptualise what needs to be done, I just don’t have the tools or inclination to do it.

Hi Rhys, my offer includes sourcing and supplying the pine for the bracket, making the bracket, fixing the bracket to the bed side, pick up and delivery and the 15% Airtasker fee. I can pick up this Wednesday and drop it back on Thursday. Cheers Dave

Questions(3)
Rhys, just to confirm, do you have both sides of the bed and need a replacement slotted section manufactured and attached to your existing bed rail?

Hi Greg - I have both sides, it just requires the manufacturing of the slotted section and the reattachment of it to the side of the bed. Unfortunately, can’t facilitate the work being done on site.
This looks like it could be done onsite. Is there a reason why you need it taken away then returned?
Hi Rhys,
I am a qualified Furniture Maker and operator my own business and workshop. I have extensive experience repairing furniture. Please check my 5 star reviews and 100% completion rate. Can you please post a photo of the item that needs repairing? Also do you know what timber it is and what the existing finish is?

Hi David I have attached a pic. All I need done is the wooden bracket (for the slats) replaced in the other half of the bed. The bracket looks like it is pine. The one in the pic can be used as a template to get the measurements to make the identical piece. The rest of the bed is fine, One of the brackets just broke is all (have posted more pics on the ad itself). Looks like it is just made from pine at present.
