Hi Fadi, offer to supply materials and connecting alarm system to NBN router. Includes AirTasker fee.

Hi Fadi,
You have two options to achieve what you are trying to do.

The first is to try and see if connecting to Uni V port will work. This will require some re-wiring and testing..

The better option is to add an Ethernet module to your system. This would however require firmware upgrade

Hi Joe, I tested the line with a normal phone, and it rang out. so I guess all whats need is wiring the alarm system to the UNI-V port, and then setup the panel up with the number to call. if you can do the job, please put an offer. TIA.

NBN modem in the garage has a UNI-V port. not sure if that is digital or analog or even voip. look at page 5 here:

I just read this document "Voice on the NBN Product Fact Sheet". looks like I can connect the analog phone line, as my original request.
Single story house?

Does your nbn have back up battery? I woukd probably suggest going wireless and using a SIM card yo dial out. Soon they will phase the analogue line for phones which means it will be useless for the alarm. It saves you money doing this setup then going for gsm later on

thanks for your advice. if you are interested, put an offer and a quote with what you described, and I'll consider it.
Is it an analogue phone line or voip?
