I have an engagement you may be interested in? Seeking an automated solution to replace a manual process.

We deployed non-utility sub-meters to a number of tenancies behind the energy utility retail (NMI) meter in the same switch room.

Non-utility sub-meters record and send usage and demand data to a third-party platform. We use this data for the express purpose only to calculate shared electricity costs of the tenancies using the prevailing tariffs of the retailer (Australian Energy) as displayed on the monthly bill for the NMI meter. This is done manually via downloading data from the third-party platform and merging into excel file to perform calculations and issue a report to the landlord named ‘Statement of Usage’.

What type of non-utility sub-meters has been deployed at South Granville?

Type 1. AcuvimII
a. Data delivery by HTTP Push (click here for manual and copy of .csv file format) or FTP
b. 10x three-phase circuits / 5x tenancies
c. Enabled meter Channel 1 HTTP Push to Wattics
d. Enabled meter Channel 2 HTTP Push to IBM Bluemix

a. Data availability via Standard Rest API

Seems an easy one, just need some VBA if you want to keep using excel or a lot of other options if you want to move data to a proper database or even write a simple software to deal with it, I’ll provide docs for u to easily maintain or change it later or share the knowledge with you.

Hi Alan

I'd be happy to give you hand with it. I have written Extract, Transform & Load (ETL) automation scripts on large volume platforms (2M+ records) previously with disparate data sources (databases, CSV files and flat files) so pretty familiar with what would involved. These have typically been used to transform data for different platforms and been automated to reduce manual intervention.

Given the different sources of data and final output desired, I would suggest developing an automated process that would

* Poll data from AcuvimII, Wattwatcher, Enviro device
* Make necessary data extracts & transformations
* Write to Excel file and email it to a nominated address

For the above to work without manual intervention,

* A Windows computer that is always on is required - this is not included in cost
* Data from the Enviro device needs to be available in structured format (like CSV) and downloadable online

Airtasker service fee is also separate.

If you want a solution to produce professionally designed reports from extracted data i am yoyr man.

I have over 25 years of data analysis and rrportong using excel. My specialty is using vba to automate the process for efficiency, accuracy and speed.
