I have a 2001 Toyota Celica.

At the moment, when the air conditioning is switched on the car will not start on the next occasion. I am not sure if the battery is being drained or whether there is a short somewhere.

This issue has been ongoing for about 10 months. At times I have not been able to start my car, or even jump it with a little jumpstart and either needed to charge the battery or get a jump from another car.

I am quite sure that is has something to do with the air conditioner as since I have not turned on the air conditioner, the car has been fine for 2 months.

Hi Dan, have you tried turning the car on and then the AC? If so what happens? The car just doesn’t start next time?

That's exactly what happens.
Ok, when was the last time the battery was replaced?
Dan D.poster
Probably a year ago and it is a good quality battery.
