Supply and Install new ceiling insulation into a single-story (100 sqm) house.

We have ivy growing up the side of a terrace house. We are wanting someone to cut the ivy close to its base so it stops growing and to remove as much as possible, especially the ivy which is close to the second story window (see picture). The gap on the side of the house is small so it may only be possible to cut the base of the ivy down this side. The house is old (over 100 years) so we would need care to be taken when pulling the ivy off to avoid pulling any plaster off the house, which is why our prime focus is cutting it at its base so it doesn’t keep growing. We are also wanting the gutters from the single story portion of the house cleared, I estimate the total length of the gutters would be around 7 meters.

We are looking for an experienced and qualified acoustic consultant/engineer to assess a wall we share with our neighbour and provide recommendations on how to improve the sound-reduction properties of the wall. We live in a two-story townhouse from 1978 and the shared wall is built from besser blocks with standard drywall on our side and no drywall on the neighbour's side. Sound transmission from the neighbours is quite noticeable (mainly voices from room-level conversations) - something that does not happen at all with our neighbours on the other side even though it is same type of wall. Help Us Upgrade Our Downpipe at Our Cool Richmond Co-Working Spot! 🛠️ Hey there, We're the folks running a super cool co-working hub in Richmond, and we've got a little plumbing hiccup we need your expertise with. Our old metal downpipe has seen better days and is leaking all over the place, so it's high time for a change. We're on the hunt for a plumber extraordinaire to tackle the job of replacing a section of the downpipe, extending from the box gutter down to either the ground or the first level. To get this done, we might need to do a little chipboard ceiling surgery, but no worries, we'll fix it up nice and neat later. We'd love to switch things up and go for a PVC downpipe with those smooth rounded bends. It'll make life so much easier, especially with leaves clogging up the works. Our current gutter cleaning routine is a real headache, so simplifying that is a big win for us. We've got easy, safe access to the roof thanks to a snazzy new access hatch and ladder system, plus a nifty enclosed perimeter rail. It was put in place for our café buddies and their kitchen setup. In terms of what we're after, your quote should cover all the bits and bobs needed for the new downpipe, including bends and whatnot. Oh, and if you could do us a solid and give the gutter and downpipe a good clean during the process, that'd be awesome! My small terrace house in Richmond has a decramastic roof (metal sheeting that looks like tiles). Several small sections of ridging (each about 30cm long) are missing: - 3.5 sections on the north-west hip - 2 sections on the south-east hip - 1 section on the top ridge (adjoining the north-west hip) (Photos attached) Since the same ridge caps can no longer be sourced, I'd propose that we: 1) Replace the ridge capping along the top (see blue line in photo) with new colourbond ridge capping in a similar colour to the existing roof, which is a faded browny-red colour. (In some of the photos, it looks grey, but that's because the photos were taken through my neighbour's flyscreen). 2) Relocate the intact ridges from the top ridge to cover the missing sections on the north-west and south-east hips. Job is not super urgent as there is no apparent water ingress currently (there is still a thin layer of metal underneath the top sheeting). But I would still like to attend to it as soon as possible, before the loose sheeting detaches completely. There is easy access to the roof as the house is not adjoining other houses — there is a walkway on either side. - Due date: Flexible

have rendering on the front of my house that is letting water in where the render abuts a large sliding door. I've had water leaking testing done by my insurer to isolate the location of the leak. I have a few other sports of rendering too to tidy it up and painting of the entire wall to make it all took the same/not patchy. If you were able to assist, I'd need an itemised tax invoice so I can prove to my insurer that I've carried out the repair works. I'm in Richmond and I am supposing you'd have to see the site to work out what's involved. I'd obviously like to start as soon as possible but anytime in the next few weeks would be OK. Apart from Thurs/Friday this week I'm around most of the time if you want to take a look. Either way, can you let me know if you're interested?
