Your hired plasterer can do the necessary planning and preparation before application. Plasterers can recommend the most suitable plastering materials and use the appropriate materials, all while following the manufacturer’s recommendations, building codes, and industry best practices. Plasterer jobs can involve different services based on the construction requirements of buildings, such as:Â
Ceiling Plastering
A plasterer can seal each portion between plasterboards with fibre tape, plaster moulds, or a similar protective material. They can mix the plaster to the right consistency, apply it to the ceiling and ensure complete and consistent coverage. Your Tasker can ensure the application complies with the manufacturer’s instructions, industry best practices, and any appropriate regulations when doing plastering projects.Â
Wall Plastering
A plasterer can prepare the site by placing a protective covering on the floor, furniture, light switches, and electrical sockets. You may hire someone to do the wiring before plastering or switch off the power before your Tasker starts work. Your wall plasterer can use the appropriate tools and techniques to plaster your walls, and follow the instructions for drying and reapplying plaster coats until the job is finished. Plasterers can help with dry wall plastering or plasterboard to provide additional protection against noise and humidity for interior walls.Â
Plaster Repair
Plasterers can inspect the site to assess the extent of damage to the plaster. You may need to hire someone to inspect and repair areas close to or supporting the plaster before your plasterer starts work. You can also ask someone to check if the plaster damage is due to leaky or busted pipes and fix those first. Your plasterer can prepare the appropriate amount of plaster for the repairs and do what is necessary to mimic the existing plaster. After repairs are complete, you may want to hire someone to apply fresh paint to the restored plaster and return it to its former glory.
Plaster Coving
As for plaster coving, plasterers can inspect and prepare the site before working on the coving. Some Taskers can move or cover the furniture in the room, but note that you may have to hire a separate service to clear the space. Your Tasker can measure and cut the coving to fit, install it onto the ceiling with adhesives and secure the coving as the adhesive sets.
Polished Plaster
To apply polished plaster, a plasterer can prepare the walls by cleaning and smoothing them with a sander. Following the plaster manufacturer’s instructions and industry best practices, they can apply as many coats of polished plaster as needed, sanding or applying glaze between coats. They can apply a water-based sealant to finish the job.Â
Lime Plastering
Plasterers can prepare the site and mix lime plastering material of the right consistency. They can apply the lime plaster in the appropriate number of layers, scoring and smoothing each layer as needed and allowing the layers to dry between applications.Â

There are five plastered walls across 2 rooms that need attention. The aim is to have these fixed up so that we can scrub, sand down and paint ourselves. 2 x Small walls (3.6 x 2.2m) that just needs removal of old wallpaper 3 x Larger walls (6.3 x 2.2m) need to have wallpaper removed and the joins in the plaster sheets to be rejoined as they have come apart in places. On one of the walls there is a heater that has been installed and we'll need the label behind this plastered into the wall (see photos!) I'm open to offers but you will need to be a legitimate business with a registered ABN and be able to provide an invoice. Also likely opportunities for additional work!

Hi Airtaskers! I need some painting, plastering and patching done. What I need is: - Architraves from new double glazed windows put in - I need 5 window architraves painted and nail holes filled. - Patched holes in the ceiling sanded and painted (I'm guessing I need a coat on the whole ceiling) - there was 8 spots where there previously was gas ducted heating filled in (8 spots in 5 rooms) - Plastering to fill a hole in my bathroom roof where there was previously a heat/light/extractor fan combo - would love that painted as well so that there was no evidence there was ever a hole there - Painting and fill holes in the bathroom where there was previously a conduit on the wall - My skirting boards sanded and repainted - they are currently an oil based paint where I would want the same water based paint as the wall - A spot behind my fridge grouted and painted - A front door that I put in as well as the door frames painted Happy to supply the paint / any other materials, if you give me an estimate of what is needed I'll go out and buy.
