Seeking an acoustic treatment specialist. Soundproofing to be applied to 3 rooms in a Noisey apartment. This is to stop a small mechanical noise that is loud in the evening when trying to go to sleep. The walls are hollow and I would like to rip them off and put them in insulation batts. Then put up an acoustic sheet with a layer of green glue with another layer of an acoustic sheet of plaster. I have a coule of jobs to get finished before her side of the family rocks up for chrissy and NEED to have the place looking sharp. I have an entrance wall that needs pasterting and preping for wall paper. This wall 100% needs to be straighter than a nun at a nitting convention. The second wall is already plastered and just needs preping and then painted. its around an ducted air grill. Now the third wall is an outside wall... This is a brick wall that has been primered ready for paint. My experience with this wall has been one of misery with a roller and i would dear say that this wall in order to come up smart will need to be done with a spray gun to ensure the paint is evenly applied without track marks from the roller. This I believe will be the most effective way to paint the wall without going over the top with paint. I have purchased 4 litres of taubmans timeless grey paint for the outside wall and have plenty of builders white for the inside walls. The way I have priced the job is for a days work and the use of a spray gun. MORNING : 1)Plaster the front foyer wall first so it can dry through the day I have anticipated no longer than half hour max. 2) Sand the wall around the air grill and then paint I have anticiapted around an 1.5 /2 hours max to achieve this. MIDDAY. 3) Spray the outside wall - This is a 2 story wall and will most likely require the use of ladders and painting trestles to reach the top of the wall. The surface below is a little bit tricky as it a light concrete screte that has cracked away due to the rain. I placed a brick and seemed to stabilise fine so not a major. AFTERNOON: 4) Sand and prep the front foyer wall ready for the wall paper guys. I have attached photos so you can undestand the scope of works...Any questions, just ask.
