What does a pet taxi service include?
Our pet taxi service covers transporting your pet (and in some cases, you as well) to another location. If you aren’t there to accompany your pet, you can also have your Tasker wait at the vet or groomer, then take your pet back home. This is great for pet owners who can’t leave their house unattended, are moving to a new location, or need a pet-friendly transportation option.
While your needs and the type of Tasker you get may vary, here’s what you can expect from a typical pet taxi driver here on Airtasker:
Animal taxi delivery for different animals
Airtasker doesn’t limit you to a dog taxi service - you can transport cats, rabbits, birds, and even reptiles - as long as they’re in appropriate carriers or enclosures, and there’s a Tasker who’s willing to accommodate your pet (or pets).
Transporting pets with their owner
If you’re a pet owner without a car, or if your usual means of getting around isn’t available, our pet taxi service can help you, and your pet get around. Since not all cabs can accommodate animals, and some pets get nervous around crowds, having a ride to yourselves may be the best option for you and your animal companion.
Taskers can pick you up, drop you off at your desired location, and even wait to bring you home afterwards.
Transporting pets only
Having to make your pet travel by themselves can be extremely nerve-wracking, but working with a rated and reviewed pet taxi driver can make you and your pet feel safer. Your pet will be treated as a VIP (not just a package that you’re shipping off). If you really can’t accompany your pet to their appointment due to an emergency, your Tasker can pick up your pet, make sure they have a safe ride, then drop them off at your desired location. If you like, you can ask your Tasker to send pictures as proof that your dog, cat, rabbit, or bird is doing and feeling great.
Transporting and minding pets
Need your Tasker to be both a chauffeur and a sitter? We can help you find someone who fits the bill. If you need a Tasker to watch your pet at the groomer or pet salon, you can ask them to do so (note this may incur additional fees).
